Coming from AMSTERDAM: (approx. 1 ¼  h travel time)

 

Take the highway direction “den Haag-Rotterdam” (A4)

At intersection “NIEUWE MEER” either follow the A4 until exit “den Haag” (Prins Claus-crossover)

   Or follow the A44 (“Leiden-Wassenaar”) until Prins Claus-crossover.

You can also on the A44 (after Wassenaar) follow the direction “Scheveningen Bad”

– you will arrive in the Zwolsestraat (see alternative 2 below, at 4)

At Prins Claus-crossover, follow direction “Voorburg – den Haag centrum”

– to continue: see below.

 

Coming from UTRECHT: (approx. 1 ¼ h travel time)

 

Take the highway direction “den Haag” (A12/E25/E30) –

After GOUDA follow the A12/E30 direction Voorburg – den Haag

At the Prins Claus-crossover follow straight through, direction Voorburg – den Haag centrum

– to continue: see below.

 

Coming from BREDA via ROTTERDAM: (approx 1 h travel time)

 

Take the highway direction “Rotterdam - den Haag” (A16)

Follow the highway until Rotterdam – after Rotterdam follow direction den Haag

After Delft follow direction den Haag – Amsterdam.

Leave the highway at the Prins Claus-crossover, direction Voorburg – den Haag centrum

TO CONTINUE after Prins Claus Crossover:

Follow the highway until the end of it (T-crossing at traffic lights) (Utrechtsebaan).

Depending on how busy traffic is, you have 2 alternatives (purple or blue on the map):  

 

1. Merge LEFT at the traffic light

Turn LEFT (into Benoordenhoutseweg).

Follow until traffic lights, merge RIGHT at the traffic lights.

Turn RIGHT (into KONINGSKADE).

Follow Koningskade (direction Scheveningen Bad) – into the Raamweg.

At the crossover, just continue (drive under it), straight through, enter the Nieuwe Parklaan.

Follow Nieuwe Parklaan until intersection with STEVINSTRAAT.

Turn LEFT (into Stevinstraat) [watch out: tramway!] – continue at 3 below.

 

2. Before the traffic lights, merge entirely to your right and merge right at the traffic lights

Turn right (into Benoordehoutseweg)

Follow until traffic lights, merge LEFT at the traffic lights;

Turn LEFT (into VAN ALKEMADELAAN op).

Follow the van Alkemadelaan – into the Zwolsestraat.

Turn LEFT just after Scheveningen Prison (at your left hand) at the Esso gas station (into STEVINSTRAAT).

Follow the Stevinstraat – cross BADHUISWEG and NIEUWE PARKLAAN.

 

3. At the STEVINSTRAAT:

Turn LEFT at the second street (into 2e Messtraat).

Turn LEFT at the first street (into Neptunusstraat).

Turn RIGHT at first street (= ROTTERDAMSESTRAAT). 

 

PARKING YOUR CAR:

 

The entire area in Scheveningen is paid parking until 10 PM at parking meters (maximum 1 hour) , with severe sanctions (wheel clamps).

An alternative is the public Garage at the “CIRCUSTHEATER” (approx. 5 minute walk) in the NIEUWE PARKLAAN.

 

By public transport:

 

From Railway station den Haag HOLLAND SPOOR: line 1 (direction Scheveningen Noorderstrand, stop 204, “Kurhaus”, approx. every 10 minutes).

From Railway station den Haag CENTRAAL: line 9 (direction Scheveningen Noorderstrand, stop 713 “Stevinstraat”, approx. every 5 minutes).
